OUR VISION STATEMENT

Our faith in God and His promises inspires the people of Hope to welcome all to grow in a relationship with Christ Jesus the Lord and Savior. We are saved by God’s unconditional love. Through faith in Christ Jesus, we have confidence that our eternal life is secured. We celebrate our life in Christ through:

WORSHIP

that welcomes all and is dynamic, inspiring and biblically based

EDUCATION

that enlightens and empowers mind, body and spirit.

FELLOWSHIP

that nurtures caring relationships for all ages.

LOVING OUTREACH

that serves the community and those in need.

We go forth knowing Christ and making Him known.

OUR FAITH

WE BELIEVE

We are saved by the grace of God alone – not by anything we do;

Our salvation is through faith alone – we only need to believe that our sins are forgiven for Christ’s sake, who died to redeem us;

The Bible is the only norm of doctrine and life – the only true standard by which teachings and doctrines are to be judged.  Lutherans believe that they are part of a community of faith that began with the gift of the Holy Spirit, God’s presence with his people, on the day of Pentecost;

To be called into fellowship with Christ is also to be called into community with other believers. The church is essential to Christian life and growth. Its members are all sinners in need of God’s grace. It has no claim on human perfection. The church exists solely for the hearing and doing of God’s Word;

We believe that we are saved, solely, by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. To that end, the people of Hope Lutheran Church seek to provide programs and opportunities for all ages to grow in faith, hope and joy. We invite you to visit us so that we can celebrate together the hope that is for all of us.

ABOUT EVANGELICAL IN OUR NAME

As Lutherans, we are deeply rooted in a Theology of the Cross.  We are not saved by any works of the Law but solely as a gift through the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We receive this gift through faith which itself is a gift of the Holy Spirit.  The word Evangelical is from the Greek word meaning to “share the good news.”

Through Word and Sacrament we share the good news of the Gospel with the prayer that our sharing, in word and deed, will be a vehicle through which the Holy spirit will nurture faith in us and in others.
